Sailor 1911L Naginata Togi Fountain Pen - Black/Silver

Updated design! This Sailor 1911L fountain pen features a solid glossy black resin barrel and cap, complemented by rhodium-plated accents. It comes equipped with Sailor's legendary rhodium-plated 21k gold nib with a Naginata Togi nib grind available in three nib sizes.

This special Naginata Togi nib allows you to write with a thin line when holding the pen vertically upright, or with a thicker line when holding the pen at a lower writing angle. In this way it’s similar to a Sailor Zoom nib. It also is ground so that it writes thicker on the cross stroke and thinner on the down stroke, like an Architect nib. It’s really a blend of Zoom and Architect, which is quite unique and not available from any other pen manufacturer.

A special engraved metallic centerband infilled with resin using the special Cloisonné technique signifies the special nib.

The cap screws to open/close and can push to post onto the back of the barrel when writing. The 1911L comes with a Sailor proprietary converter as well as two proprietary Sailor Black ink cartridges.
